I’m an investigative reporter for the Voice of San Diego, where I mostly write about schools.
I grew up in Central Wisconsin’s farm country and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an MA in journalism. I’m also a proud alum of The New York Times Student Journalism Institute, where I was honored with the first annual Armando Montaño scholarship.
I’ve reported for the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
My work has appeared in The New York Times, Wisconsin State Journal, The Cap Times and various daily newspapers across Wisconsin.
